Dr. Raza <\/strong>began by discussing the importance of self-preservance in disasters. He highlighted that in planes, passengers are asked to put on their own masks before helping children because the children will not be able to help you and you must help yourself before you can help others. He emphasizes the value of one\u2019s life and that you must take care of your own life.<\/p>\nHe then shared about the accomplishments of the Philippine School of Business Administration, Manila (PSBA-Manila) by winning the Gawad KALASAG 2018 for Higher Education Institutions in the National Capital Region. He highlighted that the School is the best in this category because there is an organizational structure within the school to do so, specifically the Disaster Risk Management unit under the Graduate School of Business. He says that since PSBA-Manila is a School for management, it is not surprising that we have experts capable of training management experts, including for DRM. He then showed the School DRM policy and the various School emergency evacuation plans, after which, he showed various photos from the recent Metro Manila \u201cShake Drill\u201d which used these emergency evacuation plans, eventually ending up at the nearby Methodist Church basketball court.<\/p>\n
He concludes by giving each senior high school student a starter kit that consists of a triangular bandage for first aid and a whistle that has a compass and flashlight to be used for emergency purposes prepared by the DRM Unit.<\/p>\n
